eFolios to Support Accreditation Efforts
In 2005, the Office of the Chancellor launched the Institutional Electronic Portfolio Project. This project has afforded Minnesota State Colleges and Universities institutions the opportunity to use an electronic means to display their Systems Portfolios, which demonstrate that the institution is meeting the criteria required for accreditation. Academic programs also use eFolio software systems for accreditation purposes. In 2006, The Higher Learning Commission/AQIP endorsed this project as a method to display accreditation materials. The Institutional Electronic Portfolio Projects has enabled any MnSCU institution to use an electronic means to efficiently display and maintain a dynamic snapshot of its academic quality and operation efficiencies. The Institutional Electronic Portfolio Project is a 2007 & 2008 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Chancellor’s Initiative. Institutional and program accreditation electronic portfolio site developers are supported through the Academic Innovations unit in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, Office of the Chancellor.
